KOA Book Series By Mike Quiñones

KOA – Kids on Adventures is a bilingual (English–Spanish) children’s book for ages 3–6, created and illustrated by a Nashville-based artist, Mike Quiñones. The book introduces the alphabet through animals whose names align in both languages, paired with fun, engaging facts. By blending art, storytelling, and language, KOA encourages early literacy, cultural awareness, and curiosity about the natural world.
KOA is more than a book; it is a journey. Along with a full-color edition and an interactive coloring-book edition, the KOA Kids on Adventure team brings free workshops in public libraries across Nashville, offering read-aloud sessions, hands-on drawing activities, and opportunities for children to explore their creativity while learning.

About the Artist
Mike Quiñones G. is a multidisciplinary artist, author, and visual storyteller born in Cartagena, Colombia, and raised in Miami. His creative journey spans painting, filmmaking, illustration, photography, and cartooning, where he first began honing his storytelling skills at just 16 years old. With a background in Film Production from Miami Dade College, Mike brings a cinematic and imaginative approach to his work. Through his art, he also inspires curiosity, creativity, and cultural connection. KOA is more than a story, Mike invites you to be an artist yourself and connect to both languages.
