This project is an original narrative music series set in Tennessee that follows a young Latina singer-songwriter as she navigates grief, identity, and ambition through music.

The series blends original compositions with cinematic storytelling and functions as a collaborative creative platform, bringing together singer-songwriters, filmmakers, directors, and producers to explore culture, sound, and character-driven narratives in innovative ways.

ORIGINAL MUSIC-DRIVEN NARRATIVE WEB SERIES

BAD IGUANA PRODUCTIONS

Bad Iguana Productions is casting for the first episode of an original narrative web series set in the Greater Nashville area. The project explores themes of identity, resilience, family, and music through intimate, grounded storytelling.

We are seeking emerging and experienced performers who bring authenticity, emotional depth, and cultural awareness to their work.

PROJECT DETAILS

  • Format: Narrative web series

  • Episode length: 15–20 minutes

  • Location: Greater Nashville Area

  • Language: English and Spanish, with Spanglish elements

  • Compensation: Unpaid

ROLES CURRENTLY CASTING

LAURA

  • Female

  • Age: 18–22

  • Latina

  • Must be comfortable singing on camera

  • No formal music training required

  • Seeking natural presence, emotional honesty, and vulnerability

Character description:
Laura is quiet, observant, creative, and resilient.

PARENTS

  • Male and Female

  • Age: late 40s to 50s

  • Latino

  • Strong dramatic presence preferred

  • Spanish required

BEST FRIEND

  • Female

  • Age: 18–22

  • Open ethnicity

  • Charismatic, warm, and supportive energy

  • Strong chemistry with Laura

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Authentic performances

  • Natural, non-theatrical acting

  • Comfort with subtle emotion and silence

  • Cultural awareness and respect

AUDITION PROCESS

Initial submissions should include:

  • Headshot or recent photo

  • Short bio

  • Acting reel or self-tape (if available)

For the role of Laura only:
A short self-recorded vocal performance is preferred but not required.

Selected actors will be contacted for callbacks.
